Appropriate Appropriation

The Kiss, By Klimt, repainted by Syrian artist Tammam Azzam on a war-damaged building.
Beautiful, poetic, political, intelligent, visually superb and honoring the original artist. In this circumstance, without that ultimate bourgeoise luxury of Warholian nihilism, the artist dares to make people feel what matters. Was that so hard?  Yes, it must have been.
