Biography

Jamie Bollenbach is an artist and instructor working in Seattle, Washington. Born in Alaska, and a graduate of Reed College and the University of Washington, he holds an M.F.A. in Painting and has taught college-level drawing, painting, creativity and design since 2000 at U.W., Highline Community College, the Northwest College of Art and privately. His solo exhibition in 2011 in San Francisco, The Amplitude of Time, received excellent critical reviews. A forceful advocate of visual art-making as irreplaceable, humanistic intellectual inquiry, Bollenbach has given numerous presentations and artist's talks to businesses and colleges on the U.S. West Coast.
